D'OH!

Man Arrested for DUI on lawnmower

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - A St. Cloud man has been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated - on a riding lawnmower.

St. Cloud Police said they got a call just before 11 p.m. Tuesday of a severely intoxicated man driving a riding lawnmower through several neighbors' yards, and up and down the street.

Police said they found Karl Benjamin Thompson passed out on his lawnmower in a neighbor's driveway.

The 24-year-old registered a blood alcohol level of 0.23 percent, nearly triple the legal limit of 0.08, police said.

He's being held on second-degree DWI charges, and police seized his lawnmower due to prior DWI convictions.

Although this very well could have been me during a three-day bender at the cabin, I find it extremely hilarious.

The best part is that the police actually seized this guy's lawnmower.

Welcome to Northern Minnesota.

You can get a DUI on a bicycle, too. How screwy is that? When's the last time a dude on a bicycle killed a busload of kids?

He should get a horse.

I know a guy from high school that got a DUI on his jet ski. Of course, it wasn't obvious by the beer koozie he had duct-taped to the seat or anything...

Wow, around here, that's normal sunday entertainment. If it wasn't for beer, no one would get their lawns mowed.

This is a tough blow to my future as a landowner, because I'm pretty sure I'm never going to soberly choose to mow the lawn. It's like all other things in life that you get drunk to do because they're not particularly fun (e.g. cleaning, working, taking care of small children).

he should have just gone in circles in his own yard... he's going to have to get a breath-a-lizer controlled starter on the damn thing now...

I was at a bar last night and i heard this same subject come up from some randoms, they have heard people get DUI's on bikes, mopeds, horses and 2 BUI's on the same boat because the sherrif saw the couple change drivers when they pulled up. Well at least stay in your yard but pretty sure he was blacked out he's grinning in his mug shot come on.

I could easily have been arrested for DUI on a bicycle a couple weeks ago, so I am refraining from all derogatory comments.
